Don't Quit Your Day Dream... Even when it gets rough

Be Joyful in hope, patient in affliction and faithful in prayer (Romans 12:12)
Life is hard, and to be honest most of the time it just downright sucks. It's so easy to lose focus of our goals as the storms of life arise. However, I want to encourage you today. Don't give up and don't quit your daydream. I'm speaking from a place of experience. Lately life has hit me hard, like over and over- with bad news, plenty of closed doors, and multiple letdowns. Sometimes it gets so tough that I'm ready to just throw my hands up, say, "Uncle," pack it up and carry my tale home.
Yet this little voice inside me says, "The race is not given to the swift nor the strong but the one who endures until the end." (Ecc 9:11)
Hope is what it is... as long as we hold onto hope we hold onto the dream. God is faithful and every dream you have can and will come to pass as long as YOU don't let it go. You're the only one who can let your dream go.
I have been challenged to let my dream go. Dreams are hard work! When it seems like you're hearing more no's than yes's & other people really don't get the concept of your vision. Not to mention, the lack you may be experiencing- on top of the bills or debt you already have. (that's my story) I left my job with a very little bit of savings I was burning to invest in my own business. I saved enough to invest and really believed I'd earn it all back instantly- yet that is not my experience. After nearly exhausting my little nest egg on my business I find myself frustrated, angry, and ready to give up and go back to what I'm used to- what's comfortable (a 9-5 job). However, I know that that is not God's will and that's not my desire. If I want to see my dreams come true I have to put the work in, I have to endure. I can not look to the right or left- and neither can you.
If you don't believe in your dreams, no one will. Endurance and persistence are key. As a matter of fact there are three Ps that are really important as you pursue your dreams:
1. Patience
2. Persistence
3. Perseverance
Being patient is so important as you work toward your goal. Contrary to the demands of the rest of the world instant gratification is unreal, NOTHING happens overnight. You have to outline the goal and work at it everyday, overtime you'll see your vision come to life until it's a fully formed, living and breathing operation.
Be persistent, if you give up on your dream you will absolutely never see it come to fruition. Everyday you have to get yourself up write out your goals for the day and keep going even if it's hard.
Persevere. When the road gets tough, the tough get going- Yeah it's a corny little phrase; but it's true. Do you think you'll get anywhere close to your dream if you do not persevere? During the civil rights movement people were spat upon, hosed down, jailed, and even hung, for standing up for their basic human rights. Yet because they endured, and  persevered, minorities like me get the benefit of experiencing the dream they never got the chance to.
You have to dream big, work hard, never give up, never surrender, and be relentless. If it was easy everybody would be doing it. There is a population of people waiting for just what you have to offer and if you quit that dream they'll never get the luxury of experiencing it. Stand, persevere, and one day you'll look up and realize all of your hard work was most definitely worth it.
Hang in there! I can't wait to see your dreams come true.
